
COURSE NAME: Computer Studies
DURATION: 2/3 Days per Week for 12 Weeks (3 months)
QUALIFICATION: Certificate of Completion in Computer Studies
CANDIDATES: Those new to ICT or looking to enhance their skills
PREREQUISITES: Proficiency in English and Maths or Office experience & strong will to learn. No experience in ICT is required.
About the Course
This course offers students with comprehensive knowledge and skills of computing concepts, through a combination of theory and practice. Emphasis is placed on enhancing problem-solving abilities - fostering critical thinking skills within the computing context. By the end of this course, students will have acquired a solid basis to pursue further studies OR be able to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world employment setting.

Mr Yankson is a highly qualified Computer Systems Engineer and Lecturer in both secondary and post-16 (adults) education sectors. He has several years of teaching experience in both secondary and further education colleges as well as over two decades of continuous industrial experience with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in London, United Kingdom. His long vision was to return to Ghana to help bridge the digital divide between the country and the developed world.
